TPS Offers Immunizations and Back-to-Office Resources

A majority of pediatric practices have experienced a dramatic decrease in the volume of patients they treat each day, as a result of stay-at-home orders rolled out in March due to COVID-19. Because of this decrease, vaccination rates have plummeted nationwide as parents cancelled well-child visits to avoid exposure to the virus. Texas Pediatric Society (TPS) recently launched an Immunizations and Back-to-Office campaign to assist practices in getting patients back into the office.

A resource made available to providers through this campaign is the Immunizations and Back-to-Office Resource Toolkit. This toolkit contains samples of letters, emails and social media campaigns practices can utilize to help spread the word that offices are open, as well communicate the importance of keeping kids healthy during this time.

TPS recently offered an Implementing the Child Psychiatry Access Network for Pediatricians (CPAN) webinar. The 86th Texas Legislature created the CPAN to expand access to consultation and telehealth supports for pediatricians treating children and youth with mental health needs, as well as their families.
