Telehealth for Superior Members

Date: 02/25/19

Superior will begin offering telehealth access from Teladoc for Medicaid (STAR, STAR Health, STAR Kids, STAR+PLUS), CHIP and Superior HealthPlan STAR+PLUS Medicaid-Medicare Plan (MMP) members in 2019. Teladoc is a nationwide telehealth provider, contracted with more than 3,000 providers in all 50 states. Telehealth services increase patient access to care and can help decrease emergency room visits. This will not replace Superior’s recommendation for in-person visits with a member’s primary physician.

Many providers are already contracted with Teladoc. If you are not currently contracted with Teladoc, you may want to consider it in 2019. Contracting with Teladoc will enable you to be among the telehealth providers treating Superior members remotely, and if you choose, patients from other plans as well.

Please note: Effective January 1, 2019, Superior began contracting with Teladoc for Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan and Allwell from Superior HealthPlan (HMO and HMO SNP).
