Effective 9/1/2016 - Change in Rate Enhancement Levels
Date: 10/26/16
In 2017, the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) will change their rate enhancement levels from a maximum level of 35 to 34. As a part of Superior’s process for verifying each provider’s DADS level, and to ensure the program does not exceed the funding level offered by DADS, Superior’s Rate Enhancement program level will also change to a maximum of 34. Levels awarded for 2017 will be retroactive to September 1, 2016, provided the required attestation has been submitted.
If a provider’s awarded enhancement level is different from their current enhancement level, this will result in retroactive rate adjustments for any September 2016 claims paid before the new level is entered into the system. Please note: Providers who do not work with DADS will also be impacted by this change, since Superior mirrors rate levels set by DADS.
For questions on this change please reach out to your dedicated Account Manager or call Provider Services at 1-877-391-5921.
