DFPS Implementation of Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (eCANS) Mobile App
Date: 08/18/21
On July 5, 2021, the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) launched the electronic Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (eCANS) mobile app for behavioral health providers. This app will not replace the existing online assessment, but will serve as an additional tool/resource for providers while conducting a CANS 2.0 assessment. The new platform will allow providers to enter information directly into their mobile device via the secure app, which will also reflect on the eCANS website.
Please note: In order for a provider to access the eCANS platform, they will need to use their existing username and password.
