Avoid Directory Removal: Verify Your Information

As a reminder, Superior utilizes VerifyHCP® to validate provider information. VerifyHCP® is a quick and easy clinician directory verification portal developed by LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, in collaboration with the American Medical Association (AMA) and AMA Business Solutions.* To make attestation more efficient for clinicians and their staff, VerifyHCP® enables practices to validate or update pre-populated provider information in one place across all participating health plans.
Updating practice information allows Superior to provide patients with current directory information so they can evaluate our networks, select in-network providers, and ultimately access care. Superior’s goal is to make this process as easy as possible for clinicians and their practices, to receive 100% response to outreach requests.
Please note: Clinicians who do not respond to verification requests may be removed from provider directories.
On December 2, 2019, VerifyHCP began additional outreach to confirm and update directory information. Several outreach methods are being used including email, fax and phone, with email being the primary method. Clinicians and practices are being directed to register and log into VerifyHC Portal (VerifyHCP) to confirm that their directory information on file is accurate. VerifyHCP is a secure, free website for clinicians and their staff to confirm their information, as required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and various state laws.
