Learn About Your Over-the-Counter (OTC) Benefits

As a Superior HealthPlan Value-added Service*, STAR Health members can get $30 for commonly used over-the-counter (OTC) items every quarter, per household. Visit our OTC webpage to see a full list of items.

Prescriptions are not needed for OTC items. These items can be shipped to your home. All OTC items should only be used as directed. You should talk to your Primary Care Provider (PCP) if you have any questions about how to use these items safely. OTC products are intended for member use only to help with a health or medical need. The use of this benefit to order OTC items for family members and friends is prohibited.

How to Order
There are two ways to order your OTC health and wellness items:

1.    Online through the secure Member Portal. To order online:

  • Log in to the secure member portal.
  • Click “Pharmacy Information” from the secure portal main menu.
  • Click the “Click here to view your health plan brochure” to see Superior’s OTC Catalog. Click “shop for products” to begin an OTC order.
  • Enter the quantity for each desired item and click the “add to cart” button.
  • Once your order is complete, click “place order” and then log out using the icon in the top right corner.

2.    Over the phone. Call 1-866-768-8490. When calling:

  • Have your Superior member ID card ready.


IMPORTANT NOTE: The coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused some common OTC items from Superior HealthPlan to have longer wait times to get to members. Some of these items may also become unavailable. Superior will continue to work hard to get all orders to members as soon as possible. For questions about item availability, delays or any other concerns, please call 1-866-768-8490. Call volumes are higher than normal. Wait times may also be longer than usual.
