Hurricane Harvey Update Regarding Prior Authorization

As a response to Hurricane Harvey, Superior HealthPlan will be waiving any contractual obligations that require you to obtain prior authorization, referrals, notification of hospital admissions or medical necessity reviews for specified health care through the duration of the governor's proclamations in the disaster designated counties. 

This includes out-of-network services needed to obtain necessary emergency and non-emergency health services, as well as necessary medical equipment, supplies and services, regardless of the date on which the service, equipment or supplies were most recently provided.
